SM Home Appliances started the way most good shops in Kampala start, with a small space, a short list of stock and a lot of walking. We are in Katwe, and we sell fridges, freezers, televisions, cookers, washing machines, kitchen appliances, air conditioners and phones to households and businesses across Uganda.
What we learned early is that buying an appliance here is mostly a trust problem. Anyone can quote you a price. Fewer people will tell you that the 300 litre fridge you are asking about is more than your family needs, or that the cheap television will not survive your power supply without a protector. We would rather sell you the right thing once than the wrong thing twice.
So we do it the plain way. Genuine stock. Prices that are the same whether you walk in or message us. The manufacturer warranty on everything, handled by us rather than by a call centre somewhere. And delivery anywhere in the country, because a good price in Kampala is not much use to someone in Gulu.
