Our cookers in Uganda range runs from a sixty-thousand shilling double gas burner up to a full 90cm six-burner range with a rotisserie oven. Most Ugandan kitchens are built around the standard 50cm by 50cm gap, and that is where the bulk of our stock sits.
Measure your gap before you order — width, depth and the height to any overhanging cabinet. A cooker that does not fit is an expensive thing to discover on delivery day, and we would rather confirm the external dimensions with you on the phone first.
On gas safety, plainly: use a proper regulator, replace the rubber hose every two years whether it looks worn or not, and check joints with soapy water rather than a flame. Rubber perishes faster in this climate than people expect. We stock regulators and hoses and would rather sell you the correct one than have you improvise.
