Our range of TVs in Uganda covers everything from a 32 inch digital set for a bedroom to a 75 inch 4K QLED for a large sitting room, plus the sound equipment that makes them worth watching.
The main decision is smart versus digital. A digital TV has a DVB-T2 decoder built in and gives you free-to-air Ugandan channels off an aerial, with no monthly fee and no internet needed. A smart TV adds WiFi, apps and streaming. If your internet is reliable, smart is worth it. If it is not, buy a digital set and add a TV box later — that combination costs less and works better than most built-in smart platforms.
Whatever you buy, budget for two things: a surge protector, because televisions are the appliance we most often see lost to a voltage spike, and a soundbar. Flat panels are physically too thin to hold a decent speaker, and a soundbar changes how a television feels more than stepping up a screen size does.
